Eateries a la Saigon

Assalamualaikum dan Selamat Sejahtera
(Greetings to all)

A La Carte or Pax

When setting foot on Vietnamese soil we were quite sceptical on the food issue. Halal food that is!

Will there be outlets or joints or stalls or shops that will cater to our 'eating' needs. In short will there be eateries to our expectations!

We came, we saw and we conquered! This Muslim food outlet was the first restaurant we managed to come by for our dinner on the first night in Saigon.

The food served was satisfactory in taste . . . while the charges (imposed/ levied?) were considered reasonable.

[Note: Nadim's expressions (above) will have no bearings whatsoever to the food served at this restaurant . . .  either in terms of taste or costs.]

Breakfast at the hotel where we stayed was not too bad . . . catering more to western food and delicacies enthusiasts.

We managed to have a few 'decent' breakfast there. The only drawback being unable to see any assuring sign of the place being an outlet serving halal food!

Having a drink at the cafe . . . by the main road. Coconut water . . . fresh in the enclosure of the shell of the fruit itself . . . was really refreshing and thirst quenching!

Feel like enjoying any kind of a la carte serving @ Serai? Feel like wanting to have food like what we are used to in our own homeland? Come to Serai @ Saigon. You'll have that feeling of being in KL!

Next . . . on to this outlet then. The range of food served here taste quite like those back home. One tends to have the feeling of enjoying food served in KL outlets.

See what I mean . . . Saigon alias Ho Chi Minh City . . . do have a Serai outlet. A close resemblance of the Serai outlets we have in KL, Subang Jaya or Cyberjaya.

Yes! We do feel at home being here. The ambience, the people, the menu, the food and d decor . . . kept reminding us of KL.

Take your pick sir . . .  place your order please. Our order was very orderly attended to.

With the exception of the waiter's lingo and the currency used . . nothing else looked foreign here.

The waiters were very helpful and polite . . . without sacrificing efficiency.
