Support : Crutches vs Kin

Assalamualaikum and Greetings

Getting On With Walking . . .

When one is hospitalized for any kind of medical observation or treatment one will somehow feel all alone. All of a sudden all form of uncertainty will take shape in one's mind. But . . . whatever it has to be . . . one must abide by the rule for "healing" and follow the measures to be taken for "health recovery" . . . for the sake of one's well-being. This will be the moment when one needs one's kin around . . .

Precisely, when one wants to be able to walk again (in short time) after an 'operation' of the leg . . . crutches are recommended. With the aid of crutches one is supposed to be well supported and should be able to overcome difficulties in one's effort to move around. So much for mere physical recovery.

No doubt one will be well-placed on the road to recovery with good medical attention and treatment while at the hospital. Thus much appreciation must be given to the surgical/medical team that operated on Halim's leg and took care of him at the University of Malaya Specialist Centre throughout the time he was there. The team was ably led by Associate Prof Dr Vivek Ajit Singh. Thank you all.

But what with when one goes through the uncertainty of guessing the time when one could really walk straight again? Nothing beats kin support. Moral and material support from one's own kin in such a situation have more often than not proven most effective. One's recovery would definitely be faster and more complete. The pain and stress naturally lessened. Both the physical and spiritual aspects are effectively taken care of in this manner.

And . . . that was exactly what Halim Zaharyn experienced. He is at present well on the road to recovery after having had his left calf muscle removed in a surgery for tumour about a month ago. He seems ready for work in that office of his (on foreign soil) once again. Thanks to kin care and sincere understanding. It makes a world of a difference!

Hopefully Halim's colleagues over there would at the least kindly consider rendering him that little bit of "family" concern touch.

Crutches are certainly incapable of doing that! (Nor do wheelchairs.) They only lend support . . . without rendering any concern!

Walk on son!

MU's New Signings?

Assalamualaikum and Greetings

Hot News

After a long lay off d'SUARANG sports desk managed a scoop. Something hot on the sporting front. Something that most of the time happens within the EPL*. The signing of players into this fantastic team . . . MU*!

Ahmad Iman Iskandar bin Mohd Rashidi
aka Tomato Man
(Superb Attacking MU Player)

Azim Muqry Basrie bin Royhai'zam
aka Black Seed Boy

(Intelligent Utility MU Player)

Umar Ilham Majid bin Halmy Zahari
aka Mamak CT
(Brilliant Defensive MU Player)

The Board of Managers managed to lure (to mean the act before acquiring) these very talented big names (long names to be more precise) into the team by offering them very attractive returns. Among others . . . daily return tickets encompassing Ampang- UK Perdana - d'SUARANG and self-sponsored dairy packages plus constant medic care and personal welfare. Board and lodging is simply free!

Routine training and exercise in the form of joining/participating on free trips to destinations all over (sometimes even to out of this world places) is provided to flex the players muscle and keep them energetic. Hopefully this will prove to be a plus factor. Players must be tough and fully fit to win matches!

Annual and periodical bonuses are also paid to the players. This usually happens when approaching or during festive seasons. Performance bonus is at the discretion of the Board of Managers.
All things said, the Board of Managers of course expects all things good in return from the players and their handlers too.

Question: "Who is handling you?"

P1Aii:"I am being handled by a foreign coach . . . My local 'kin' handler is not that keen . . . I just kick the ball around man . . ."

Question:
"What position suits you best?"

P1Aii:
"Off position lah!"

Question:
"Why are you here?"

P2 Amb:
"What else can I do . . . It runs in the family . . . I cannot get out of this one!"

Question: "What's your greatest asset as a utility player?"

P2 Amb: " My two-way early bird habit I guess."

Question: "How do you mean?"

P2 Amb: "Somehow . . . I always go into the field early for workouts . . . and leave the field twice as early . . . worked out!"

P3 Uim: Me? . . . I have no handler as yet . . .

Question: Why?

P3 Uim: Because . . .

. . . my (by right) handler is an ardent aka die hard fan of Che Su FA . . . for whatever reason lah!

Question: So what are you going to do about it?

P3 Uim: Guess I'll just have to call on Atuk M to be my handler . . . at least until I'm 18 . . . when I can blow my own whistle . . . right and proper. . . man!

Question: Why chose MU?

P3 Uim: That was the only org with available attire then . . . I don't want to go belengeng or even bolen . . .

Suko kaulah Jang! . . . as the saying goes in NS dialect . . . and . . . the layman says, " I scratch your back, you scratch mine". Bye for now.

*MU : Majid's United

Antik? Unik?

Assalamualaikum dan Selamat Sejahtera

Apa? Siapa?

Lihat gambar ini . . . Telitikan. Antik? Unik?

Apa yang antiknya . . . apa pula yang uniknya!

Biasa saja. Gambar baju sejuk . . . Sesetengah orang kata baju panas. Ada juga yang moderen sedikit panggil baju begini . . . pullover. Sejuk ke panas ke pullover ke tidak penting. Lihat sekali lagi pada material baju ini.

Sekarang perhatikan pula gambar-gambar berikut.

Nampak apa? Ada sesuatu yang tak kena? Gambar label baju. Orang moderen sekarang kata brand atau jenama (branded?) Apa pula kaitannya tu!
Tak tahu maka tak kenal. Tak kenal maka tak cinta. Tak cinta kerana tak mesra. Tak mesra kerana tak jelas cerita. Tak jelas cerita kerana tak tentu hujung pangkal nya.

Maka tunggulah episod seterusnya . . . Insya-Allah terbit, apabila sesuai masanya. Jumpa lagi.
